OMSK

 

Omsk plays fragile and surpriseful folkpop songs that are full of feeling. Together with his band singer-songwriter Vili Lähteenoja alias Omsk have played gigs since fall 2009 receiving acknowledgement from both critics and fans.

Vili Lähteenoja first started to form what was to become Omsk in the fall of 2008. After a long period of not being able to write songs, the muses finally got their act together and within in a year over 50 songs were written. ”Coffee & Wine EP” and ”Omsk LP” are entirely written, produced, recorded and for the most part performed by Vili in his apartment. Omsk has also released a Live EP. In November 2009, Vili signed a record deal with Pilfink Records, and Omsk will release it’s first properly distributed album next fall (2010).
