Mikko Ikäheimo & Rody van Gemert
Helsinki Guitarduo was formed in fall 2001 by Mikko Ikäheimo and Rody van Gemert .
Their repertoire consists of music from rennaisance to contemporary and they have also collaborated for example with dancers in cross-artistic productions.
The duo has performed for instance in th following festivals:
Valencian Jordanas Internacionales de Guitarra, Lidköpingin
musikfestival, Tarton Fiesta de la Guitarra and Viitasaaren Musiikin
aika.
Mikko Ikäheimo and Rody van Gemert have been the artistic directors of the Kantakaupungin kitarakonsertit festival in Helsinki since 2003.
